MHA's key concerns with federal budget deficit debate and potential 'Super Committee' activity

The 12-member bipartisan Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction is charged with developing a plan to reduce the national deficit by at least $1.2 trillion by Nov. 23. Automatic cuts, effective 2013-2012, will take effect if Congress fails to pass the committee's recommendations, or the plan passed by Congress achieves less than $1.2 trillion in cuts.
