All of MHA's members are focused on a mission of meeting their communities' needs. Hospital financing is complicated by government-sponsored payments for services that are generally at or below what it costs hospitals to provide care. They must also address the care needs of those without health insurance. Hospitals also face a variety of cost pressures - including rising labor costs, emerging technology and drugs and physical plant upgrades to improve service delivery.
ICD10 Coding Simulator Program
Members of the Minnesota Hospital Association have access to a discounted ICD-10 coding simulator program that is designed specially to help guide hospital coders through the transition to the ICD-10-CM/PSC system.
All HIPAA-covered entities must implement the new code set with dates of service or date of discharge for patients that occur on or after Oct. 1, 2013.
All Minnesota hospitals are eligible. For more details on the program and to learn how to participate, click here: [DOC].
