The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has recently been airing radio and television
messages about H1N1 flu issues on at least 140 stations. The messages urge everyone to practice
prevention steps and get vaccinated.
The stations that have agreed to run the information are listed here: [PDF]. The list is subject to
change, and some stations not mentioned may also be airing the spots.
The H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines are still widely available at retail clinics, pharmacies and
other locations. While influenza cases have declined in Minnesota, flu may continue for several
weeks or months. And it's possible additional waves of influenza could occur, caused by H1N1
or regular seasonal flu viruses.
In previous pandemics of novel influenza strains, third waves occurred in winter following spring
and fall waves.
