This Web site provides details about the quality of care in Minnesota hospitals for four of the most common and costly causes of hospitalization: heart attacks, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. Information is specific to Minnesota hospitals for one year at a time and is updated quarterly. Minnesota hospitals voluntarily reported their statistics on how often they have provided adults the recommended care measures, which include, for example, whether a heart attack patient was given aspirin upon arrival at the hospital or whether a blood test was performed for a pneumonia patient.
